Scrap Metal Steel prices and Junk Car Prices down-Raleigh, NC Recycling, 2310 Garner Road, 27610, 919-828-5426

Scrap Metal Prices
Raleigh Metal Recycling

Scrap Metal Prices as we unfortunately thought would happen are now down significantly.  Prices for most steel dropped $1.00/Hundred pounds yesterday.  Today we dropped another $.75/Hundred on most steel and $.50/Hundred on cars and 'shred' (appliances/mixed metals).

This of course is good news for companies that buy steel, due to finished goods steel is falling in price, but scrap metal is now at lows not seen since late 2008, 7 years ago.

In this tough market we are still Raleigh Recycling at its best.  We are not just a Junk Yard or a Salvage yard, we are the best Recycling Center in Wake County, NC working with our customers to pay the most possible in this very tough market.

While prices are low, we remain the best service, scrap yard, salvage yard for all you scrap metal recycling.

Scrap Metal Prices at Raleigh Metal Recycling, 2310 Garner Road, Raleigh, Junk Cars, Copper and Aluminum

Scrap Metal Prices
Raleigh Metal Recycling
Steel, Junk Cars, Appliances

Scrap metal prices will probably come down next Monday.  Prices have come down almost steady for 18 months and started coming down faster since this past February.

The major reason remains China.  As an example, see the below article that hit the news just 4 hours ago.  "China's mammoth manufacturing sector fell to a six-and-a-half-year low of 47.0 in September, rekindling worries over the world's second-largest economy."

Two years ago, China was buying enormous amounts of scrap metal from the U.S.  Today they are buying very little, so the demand for scrap metal is down significantly, so prices are down.

The other major factor is that with demand for steel down in China and Europe, those areas are sending finished goods steel to the U.S., which is hurting U.S. steel mills.

There is no sign that this will be getting better soon so our prices for Steel, Junk Cars, Old Appliances and more, continue to decline.

We remain doing our best to provide great service and the highest possible prices, but demand for our product is down and steel mills are lowering their prices to us.

For more on the scrap metal markets, you may want to see our weekly report that is on our website.  This week's report can he found at: http://www.raleighscrapmetalrecycling.com/raleigh-recycling-scrap-metal-commodities-report.html

Asian stocks lose footing on renewed China jitters

A board shows the stock movements inside the Shanghai Stock Exchange in the Lujiazui Financial district of Shanghai, China.
Asian equities slid deeper into the red on Wednesday, after a preliminary reading of China's mammoth manufacturing sector fell to a six-and-a-half-year low of 47.0 in September, rekindling worries over the world's second-largest economy.
The downbeat sentiment persisted even as Chinese President Xi Jinping defended his country's growth pace and reassured the world that China's financial markets will remain stable in his first policy address during a state visit to the United States.
"The flash China PMI fell more than market participants [had] expected and the PMI is also well below the 50-point threshold, which reaffirms that Chinese economic activity continues to slow and this adding to global economic and financial concerns," Elias Haddad, senior currency strategist at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, told CNBC Asia's "Street Signs."
An unimpressive handover from offshore markets also weighed on Asian bourses.
Major U.S. averages crashed more than 1 percent overnight, with materials shares among the hardest-hit due to a sell-off in commodities on the back of lingering worries about a slower-growing China.
News that Volkswagen would make a provision of $7.3 billion after allegations it cheated on vehicle emission tests sparked a global selloff in auto stocks. The Nasdaq Biotech Index also extended losses into a second day after U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said she would propose a monthly cap of $250 on prescription drugs.
Across the pond, the pan-European STOXX 600 finished the day significantly lower, down 3.1 percent as autos tanked and weaker oil prices weighing on investor sentiment.

Scrap Metal Steel prices are firming.  We are seeing firming in the market, so we see little chances prices are going down next month.  The good news is the U.S. government did not default, but so things are looking better.  Continued soft demand from China, Turkey and the US is doing well, but not great, steel prices are now stable.  Copper has moved up, and then down this week, just like last week, so fast that we did not change prices.  As said, it is not clear what will happen the rest of the year.  We are hearing things could be stable over the next months, but sorry we do not know, it could even be up!  As we have said, for items like copper, you can actually go to websites like www.cmegroup.com and watch the price of copper change every few seconds during the week.  There is word that copper could slowly go down next year.  Steel as many know usually changes once a month, but there is even no certainty to that.

At Raleigh Metal Recycling our goal remains to do our best to pay you the most for scrap metal every day.  We also try to communicate the price to make it easy for you.  When you call our phone number 919-828-5426 and press 2, you will hear a recording with "Today's prices".  This is for:

-Steel
-Cast Iron
-Copper
-Yellow Brass
-Red Brass
-Aluminum
-Aluminum Cans
-Appliances
-Computers
-Electronics
-Junk Cars
-Salvage Cars
-Stainless Steel
-Batteries
-and more.

We continue to have a twin focus at Raleigh Recycling
1) Public
2) Industrial/Demolition customers

This means if you are a large Commercial or Industrial company, you should call our Grant Kiser at 919-710-3805 to discuss prices.  He can give you prices for scrap metal, Cardboard, Copper, Computers and more.

Or for just Junk Metal removal, or appliance removal, just call Kenny at 919-348-0545

An important part of our company is that we have 11 digital, NC State certified scales that we use to service our Industrial and Commercial Customers.  Almost double our closest competitor, meaning we get you in and out fast and with accuracy!

Importantly, we sell direct to Steel mills or divisions of steel mills, not to middle men who take a commission, so we pass that savings on to you!

Today's Scrap Metal Prices at Raleigh Recycling, NC

Today’s Scrap Metal Prices
Raleigh Scrap Metal Recycling

Steel

Scrap Metal Prices for steel look little changed and possibly slightly down this month.  World markets are in clear flux for pricing and since literally what happens in China effects prices right here in Raleigh, North Carolina, NC, we at Raleigh Metal Recycling, do our best to deal with these changing dynamics.  As we write this, ferrous prices have not stabilized for the month.  The good news is two weeks ago, there was word that markets were down across the board for August, but not that may be only for select products.  Here is why.  There no question the U.S. is doing better, but of course too slowly.  Auto sales are up, home sales and home prices are up, jobs are being created, but with all that, as for steel, the U.S. only produces about 6% of the world’s steel and China produces about 47%.  Significant amounts of scrap metal from the U.S. goes to China.  China was growing at 11-12+ in recent years and now is growing at about 7%.  When they slow growth in the use of scrap metal, prices do not go up.  Related Europe is in a true recession, as were we years ago.

Even with the above, we at Raleigh Recycling are always work had to have great prices and services.

Overall Scrap Metal Prices
Today’s scrap metal prices are easy to get.  Call 919-828-5426 and press 2, to hear a recording of today’s scrap metal prices.

Copper Scrap Metal Prices

Copper prices are down very significantly from 2011.  For those of us in the Recycling business that has hurt.  Why are prices down? Copper is a great product and used in many industries.  As with Steel though, China uses about half of the world’s copper.  The copper they use is not only used in all the construction in China, but it is used in the iPads, TV’s, Computers and Appliances that are made in China and come back to the U.S. as well as are shipped around the world.  Again, with China slowing and Europe in a recession, prices are down.  Copper has an interesting Nick Name “Dr. Metal”  The price of copper is an indication of the health of the global economy.  If you want to get an indication of copper scrap metal prices, go to www.cmegroup.com and watch the price change as copper is traded by brokers around the world.  We have great copper scrap metal prices per pound.

Catalytic Converters
Yes we buy them, but only from people and companies that are in the business of repairing, replacing, removing them.  Sorry, if you replaced your own catalytic converter, even if you have a receipt, we cannot buy it.  This is due to North Carolina laws.

Aluminum Scrap Metal Recycling
We love aluminum. We love and buy old aluminum cans.  We buy aluminum screen doors, we buy aluminum sheet and aluminum turnings from factories.  Bring your scrap Aluminum to us at Raleigh Metal Recycling.  We have great prices per pound for old aluminum scrap metal.

In Summary, we are Raleigh Recycling, the best Recycling Center in Raleigh, NC and are here to support companies in increasing profits and supporting sustainability programs.  Also, we at Raleigh Recycling pay you “Cash for your Metal Trash”.  Lastly, we are major buyers of Junk Cars.  We Tow, or you Drive it in, Tow it in.  We are not that Junk Yard to Salvage Yard of the past.
