Scrap Metal Recycling Prices in NC 2012

Scrap Metal Recycling Prices NC Raleigh 2012
What a year! Steel prices started the year at prices not seen since 2008, but they came down hard, which hurt many of you and us. Scrap Metal prices for steel and iron dropped more than 40% by about October. It was ugly. The good news is that it went back up, about half the loss in the past few months. This drop effected Junk cars, appliance recycling, computer recycling and more. As for copper prices, there was an all time peak in April 2011, and dropped significantly in the following year. We have had some ups and downs all year, but not close to the scrap copper prices in NC of April 2011.

We continue to do our best to hold down costs and find ways to sell at the highest prices, so we can pay you the most possible. We will continue this effort in 2013 and beyond.

Happy New Year!
